This document is a sample slavery and human trafficking statement for the purposes of section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It is designed to help a large commercial organisation that carries on business in the UK, and has a global turnover above Β£36 million, provide information about its structure, business, supply chains, policies, due diligence processes, assessment and management of risk, its effectiveness in ensuring that slavery or human trafficking is not taking place in its supply chains, measured against appropriate performance indicators, and the training available to staff.
A slavery and human trafficking statement is a document which sets out an organisation's commitment to combating slavery and human trafficking in their business and supply chains. It also sets out the steps they have taken to do this. The statement must be published on an organisation's website and must be signed by a senior person within the organisation.
