Document background
The Workplace Assessment (APV) is a fundamental requirement under Danish working environment legislation, mandated for all organizations with employees in Denmark. This document must be prepared and updated at least every three years or whenever significant changes occur in the work environment. The assessment serves multiple purposes: ensuring compliance with Danish workplace safety regulations, identifying and addressing workplace risks, documenting implemented solutions, and planning future improvements. It must include evaluation of physical, psychological, and ergonomic aspects of the work environment, with particular attention to special risk groups and specific workplace challenges. The document should be developed with active participation from employees and their representatives, and must be readily accessible to all staff members and the Danish Working Environment Authority.
